On March 8th 2008 - Karlyn and Dario tied the knot. And what a wonderful wedding it was!! We began our day at New Hope Baptist Church. The ceremony went off without a hitch… (oh wait - they DID get hitched).

The second stop of the day was at Linn Park for a quick photoshoot. Followed by the reception at the glorious Tutwiler Hotel in downtown Birmingham. FABULOUS!!

Bill and Cyndi are having a renaissance themed wedding!!! Unable to fine a period wedding dress, Cyndi commissioned my darling Carol to design and tailor her perfect renaissance wedding dress. After numerous fittings, adjustments, alterations, redesigns, and many long hours, Carol is ready to unveil her creation. I’m so proud of her!! The bride and groom to be were quite pleased too!!

Sometimes you can just tell when people are in love!!

Karlyn and Dario currently live in the Washington DC area. The wedding of Karlyn’s cousin, Anjanetta, brought them back to to Alabama for the weekend. This gave us an opportunity to get to know each other and to take some wonderful photos. We had a great time!

Amber and Darod chose the Birmingham Botanical gardens as the site for their engagement shoot. They were a wonderful couple and we had a ball shooting them. Carol and I are looking forward to the wedding in December.

Being a big fan of timeless black and white images, Justin and Connie wanted to go for a "Vintage/Retro" look for their engagement shots. Carol and I had a ball shooting Justin and Connie.   We started out on Morris Ave (the oldest street in downtown Birmingham Alabama) shooting near the famous "Peanut Depot".   Later we headed to Cobb Lane for a few more shots.  Finally, exausted by the 102 degree heat, we settled in at "The Garage" in Southside for some final photo and some sudsy refreshments.   It was a great day!!   With great results!!

Chris and Sheila had a very special ceremony at Capps Cove Bed and Breakfast near Onteonta Alabama. Carol and I were touched by the intimacy and especially that they involved Chris’s children in the ceremony. I must admit that my viewfinder got a little foggy at one point. Here’s a few photos to wet your appetite.
