Mandy and Kenny – Saint James Catholic Church

Tradition. That’s a word that means different things for different people. Many brides cringe at the thought of having a “Traditional Wedding”. After all doesn’t “traditional” mean “Just like all the others”? Not necessarily. Mandy and Kenny had a very “Traditional” ceremony and it was absolutely awesome!!  What was different?

People make the difference.    While St. James Catholic Church has very traditional architecture and offers a very traditional Catholic worship experience, one difference was in Father Bean.   Father Bean converted to Catholicism after serving as a Baptist minister for a number of years.  That’s not “traditionally” the career path for priests.      Father Bean has a real love for what he does and a love for the people he serves.

The couple makes the difference.   Traditionally,  I meet my couples (for the very first time) many months before the wedding.  This allows me to get to know my clients and bond with them over a long period of time.    Even though I met Mandy and Kenny only a few days before the wedding – getting to know them was almost instantaneous.    We spent a lovely day at Guntersville State Park for their first photo session.  Afterwards, we had a nice lunch and chatted for quite a long time.   It was so easy to connect with them!!   I left feeling like I had known them for a long time.

Love makes the difference.  Seldom have I seen a couple who were so madly in love.  I sincerely wish all the best for them as they begin a new life together and start to create their own glorious traditions.

Gemma Schipani - Mark your colours are beautiful. I bet they look amazing in print!

Tony Kieu - I really like this set, you did a very nice job!

Daniel - Nice set of wedding photos. My favorite is the low shot of the ring barer walking down the aisle.
