Being a big fan of timeless black and white images, Justin and Connie wanted to go for a "Vintage/Retro" look for their engagement shots. Carol and I had a ball shooting Justin and Connie. We started out on Morris Ave (the oldest street in downtown Birmingham Alabama) shooting near the famous "Peanut Depot". Later we headed to Cobb Lane for a few more shots. Finally, exausted by the 102 degree heat, we settled in at "The Garage" in Southside for some final photo and some sudsy refreshments. It was a great day!! With great results!!

Who am I?
I am a storyteller and I always have been.
Many people allow moments to pass, seemingly unconnected and random. Not me. I've discovered that each moment is always a part of a bigger story. It is a story that has a beginning, an end, and fat juicy middle. Stories unfold around me every day. Hundreds of moments. My job is to find the best ones and permanently capture them.
But it doesn't stop there. What good are captured moments? The true art lies in taking all of these moments and weaving them into something beautiful. A story that is much bigger than the tiny moments that it's made of.
Weaving a wedding story is finding beauty in the most unusual places. It's capturing the things that seem so insignificant and unexpected. It's capturing emotion that is only visible to someone who knows where to look. Sometimes it's a smile, sometimes it's a tear, sometimes it's only a faint sparkle in a fathers eye. Tiny moments that hold an entire story within themselves.
Do you have a story that needs to be told? Please allow me to weave your story. It would be an honor. It always is.
