Magic

I’m not sure if I’ve ever hit off with a client like I did with Jessica and Jason. Something about us “just clicked” and I knew we were in for a magical day. The rain came and brought a clean smell and a needed breeze. . . and then . . . at just the right time . . . the clouds rolled away and the birds sang in celebration of two hearts joined. Just like MAGIC . . .

Loren and Sam - A new beginning

June 18, 2008 | Filed Under Events | Comments Off

Loren and Sam began their new life together on March 10th 2008.    The Donnelley house could barely hold the joyous celebration.    Carol and I wish Loren and Sam the best and congratulate them on their new beginning.

We met for our pre-wedding consultation and decided to have photo session.    Sometimes spontaneous shoots are the best.

Tears of Joy

Sometimes the most special moments are captured at the most unexpected times. Alexis and Scott decided to have a very private and intimate ceremony at a local park. This moment was witnessed by only the Ducks, Geese and a few special people.

Why?

Why do I love my Job wife?

Do you ever read things that make you stop and think about life?  I happened across a quote today that stopped me in my tracks.  It speaks to me on so many levels.   Naturally it describes the way I feel about Carol, but it also makes me appreciate the moments that I capture for my clients.

“Our life itself is the greatest gift to give …We tend to forget that - our real gift is not so much what we can do, but who we are …The real question - is not ‘What can we offer each other?’ but ‘Who can we be for each other?’ …  When i ask myself - ‘Who helps me most?’ i must answer, ‘The one who is willing to share his or her life with me ‘   “

Tomcats

This is TOTALLY not wedding or photography related. I just thought I share a little of myself with you guys. In my free time I enjoy singing competitively in a Barbershop Quartet called the Tomcats. Here is a recording where we placed 9th in a regional competition recently. Cheesy, I know. But it’s another one of my creative outlets. My cohorts are Ed Whorton singing bass, Mitchell McDow singing baratone, Tom Brown sings lead, and yours truly on Tenor.

You can hear us sing Ain't Misbehavin
