Brett and I are both 26 years old. I am a cosmetology apprentice and he is a welder. We began dating in 2004 after my best friend introduced us. She was dating Brett’s best friend at the time. ( They are now married! ) Brett proposed on Christmas Eve 2007. He hid my ring on our Christmas tree and after we exchanged gifts, he had me search the tree for my last present. After I found the ring he got down on one knee and the rest is history! =) The following April we purchased our first home together. We are so excited and ready for the big day to be here! Our wedding is set for Saturday May 9th, 2008. He is an amazing man that I admire so much. He is my best friend and shelter and I can not wait to become his wife. I really look up to Brett and how strong his character is and how hard he works to keep us going. It is difficult starting out but we have wonderful familys that help with the wedding plans as much as possible. We are getting married in Brett’s parent back yard. His grandfather built an arbor for Brett’s younger sister and her husband to stand under at their wedding in October 2007. The arbor now sits in my future in-laws yard waiting for us! We are so excited to use it. His grandfather did such a beautiful job and we hope to use it again one day maybe for our children’s weddings. We have a small wedding party consisting of mostly family.
